After doing a bit more reading on here, there seem to be a few factors involved. Peggy, I think you're right that some orthos may recommend shortening the cycles if teeth are moving quickly. It looks like compliance is also a factor. Someone on here mentioned in previous thread that their ortho want...

Shorter tray cycles?
I assumed that everyone just had the standard 14 day cycle with each new set of trays-- but I've been noticing while reading here that some people have as few as 10 days in their cycles. Can anyone tell me what determines this? Does it just vary depending on what your dentist's or ortho's preference...

Your total time per day comes out to about 2 hours and 20 minutes then? I don't think that's too long. I'd say I'm about the same. Although I'm finding that my attachments are rubbing more when my aligners are out. Hour long I ...

Hey! I'm also on day two with my invisalign! I'm 25. I feel the same way as you-- having these big plastic things in my mouth all the time isn't pleasant. I have been reading a little on here, and it seems like most people get used to them quite quickly-- some people even come to prefer having them ...

Getting braces soon
Hi! I'm new here, trying to prepare myself for braces. At age 25, and working in a field where I am face to face with clients and staff on a daily basis, I'm pretty stressed about it. I was hoping for invisalign braces, but with my bite issues and the fact that my doc thinks my teeth are too "a...
