Hey!
Me too! I had my tops and bottoms put on different dates, but it has been over a year for both now. Time sure seems to be flying! And I may be getting them off before Easter! I'll be finding out in two weeks. Yeah!!

My midline is off...and will be after my braces come off in a month or so. My mouth was so crowded before and the shape of my teeth don't permit enough room to make my midline 100% right on without making unwanted spaces elsewhere. I'm fine with it. It's not noticeable unless I'm looking at it....ma...

Finishing wires?
Okay, so I had finishing wires put on just before Christmas. They don't look any different than what I had before. When I asked the assistant what they were for, her answer wasn't clear. I know they're the last set of wire you get for your treatment, but what do they exactly do?

I had an expander at 28 years old. I had it for 6-7 months. I had no key to turn but instead the spring expanded on its own with the heat of my mouth. The only way I knew that it was working was the fact that there was a small gap between the two plastic pieces that were on the roof of my mouth. Oh,...

I have the same problem with the dark triangle between my front teeth. I have it at the bottom between two teeth as well. It's not as noticable as it was before, and my husband is telling me it's only because I'm focusing on it and no one else will see it. I don't know..... I'm paying all this $$ to...

I had a palatal expander for nearly 7 months...should have been only 4 but ortho scheduling didn't work out... Anyways, the first few days I couldn't talk without gagging and the spit was the biggest problem. I found that drinking cold water helped a lot. Just a word of warning when it's time to tak...

There are only a handful of ortho's in my area. And we're also still relatively new to the area when it comes to who to go to for things like orthodontics. I saw two orthos...both giving me roughly the same time frame although the second suggested an arch appliance while the other said extractions.....

Appointment Frequency
Hi everyone I'm new to this board but not to braces. I've had them since February and had ortho work since last August. Since I've had the braces though, I've been having appointments nearly every 2-3 weeks. I've been reading about people going every 8 weeks at a time. I was just looking back at my ...

Hi I've been lurking for a few months now, and decided to register. My ortho did some tooth slenderizing with that circular disk. It's like a small emery board. It takes off so little of the tooth enamel that it wouldn't effect the integrity of the tooth itself. I needed less than a milimeter on my ...
