Re: Are my lower braces ready to come off?

Hi everyone, just an updated FYI:

The ortho filed the top of some of the lower teeth to reduce the gaps.

The "black triangle" gaps are smaller now, but not gone.

Re: Are my lower braces ready to come off?

I'm seeing my orthodontist tomorrow. I will tell him and see what he says.

I'm just not sure if this problem is solvable?

Re: Are my lower braces ready to come off?

The thing is, I never had these gaps before I had braces.

I also never had these gaps when I was being treated by my previous orthodontist.

They make me lisp.

Other than the gaps, does anyone thing my lower teeth are otherwise ready?

Read the link I posted. It's been a disaster.

What do you think of my lower teeth?

Are my lower braces ready to come off?

My orthodontist (my second one) has told me my lower braces are ready to come off, and a permanent retainer will go on the back of the lower teeth. I'm not so sure I'm ready, because there seem to be gaps in my lower teeth. I think you could understand my hesitation if you read my story at the link ...

How are you going with shaving?

I'm finding it takes me 4 times longer.

Re: No feeling in chin/lip after 3 weeks

Well that's comforting to hear. I've had to rely on my family pointing out that I have food/drink (in one case blood) running down my chin. When alone, I've been eating in front of a mirror - otherwise my shirt gets covered in food. If I suffered permanent feeling loss, that would be the nail in the...

Re: Would you be happy with these teeth?

Hi braceschick. I ended up getting a refund of about 65% of the amount I paid. I still think I deserved 100%. Getting 65% took me 6 months of writing letters and yelling at him through the phone. Thousands of dollars are a lot of money for someone in their 20s so it was worth fighting. Even though I...

No feeling in chin/lip after 3 weeks

Hi everyone I've just had my lower jaw moved forward and a genioplasty. I know the surgeons told me there would be loss of feeling for a while and possibly it may never fully come back... I've got no feeling at all currently in the right side of my lower lip and the right side of my chin. I can't fe...

Re: Who needs extractions?

DO NOT GET EXTRACTIONS

If I can stop just one person from having the same 6 year long nightmare (and counting) that I'm having, it will be worth it.

Reda my threads.

Don't extract.

I was once good looking. Now I am not.

Enough said.

Good to hear purple.

Stay on top of this. In exactly 6 months if things still aren't happening, kick up a storm, say you're leaving, and ask for money back, and go to another ortho.

PURPLEPETUNIA

Quite simply, your orthodontist doesn't know what he's doing. Not all of them are competent.

Its time to go elsewhere.

Don't leave it 5 years like I stupidly did.

Please read my threads to see the consequences of leaving it any longer.
