Re: My journey with Six Month Braces

Hi, welcome :) The coloured dots on your brackets will eventually disappear with brushing. a friend of mine had braces for 6 weeks (WHAT?) to close a gap between her top front teeth. They moved fast and looked great, but she's failed to wear to retainer properly and her teeth are back to how they we...

Re: BuckTooth No More!!!!!!!!!

"in some cases do your teeth look worst before they look better?"

Absolutely! I found myself staring in the mirror a lot and saying "WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY TRYING TO DO IN THERE?!"
Everything comes together in the end though :)
Happy 1 month!! Nice progress so far.

Re: anxiousgirl's braces story.

But through having braces, I actually learnt how to be calm and relaxed even while someone is prodding my mouth. It's awesome you were able to overcome your fears and ge...

Re: essix retainers are painful!!

When I first got mine, it was really painful because my teeth had shifted the few days between debonding and getting my retainer.
Mine does fit different than yours though... there's no space between the bottom of my teeth and the retainer, and the gumline measures up.

Izzy - I was 10 days post op when I took a 4 hour trip. I spent most of the first couple of days just lounging on the couch with my boyfriend and family though. 12 & 13 days post op I had to help plan/shop for/host my sister's baby shower. I was exhausted by the end and I couldn't eat any of the...

ennazusie- have you tried taking gravol? I was taking a couple a day for the first week after surgery because I kept getting waves of nausea. Luckily, I made it the whole time without vomiting. I hope you can start to stomach things and that your pain eases up. My worst days were 2-5 but I had compl...
