Hi - my first tray of refinements was very comfy, but the tightness was back by the second tray. Not sure if tray 1 of refinements is very similar to where your teeth are when the impressions are taken in case you have been naughty waiting for your new trays? A bit like my very first tray was fairl...

Can't comment on why your doctor suddenly switched to 3 weeks from 2. He wants them to be in longer. He is experienced and a top-of-the-line provider, but I was expecting tight pressure from tray 1 on night 1. No pressure at all. I'm suppose to keep this tray in for 3 weeks? Doesn't make sense when...

Starting my refinements... hmm

Like some others, I had impressions done with the buttons left intact... I popped in refinement tray 1 of 10 tonight and wow... no pressure at all. But I say wow in a bad way.... how are my teeth going to move if I feel no pressure at all? All trays in my 1st go-around were very tight the first nigh...

Longest you've had the trays in? Shortest day?

This is a combination topic... I think the answers will be interesting to read. 1). What is the longest you've had a tray in? 2). In one 24 hour day, what was the worst hours you put in? 8? And what happened that day? 3). How many hours do you usually wear your trays every day? My answers: 1). Yeste...

Don't know which is the best gum brand to chew with invisalign in but I never dared to do it. I only do mints with the trays in.

Anything that requires me to chew, I take off the trays first.

2 trays left to go... although not completely satisfied YET

I think I will need more trays. I was on a 16 tray 8 month period. I thought that was awfully optimistic, as I see most people here are on 30+ tray programs. I was shocked when I was only asked to do 16 trays. Currently several days into tray 15 of 16, and although my front tooth has moved significa...

^ Heh. I had aches with the 2nd tray... but surprisingly, it was smooth sailing trays 3-15 (my current one).

New trays don't even hurt popping in and out for the first time. Amazing.

Re: Invisalign Concerns

So, today I am going to go get my first set of trays and am all of a sudden feeling nervous about it. Up until now I was super excited, but I'm starting to worry that I'm not going to be comfortable with them in. One of my biggest concerns is that the "buttons" are going to make me feel s...

Did you slack at all on wearing tray #5? If you put in 250 hours as opposed to closer to 300, that may account for it.

I've been very lucky. Tray #2 hurt tremendously the first 24 hours.

I'm now on Tray #12 and no problems since. I wear each tray for about 280-290 hours.

Audition with Invisalign -- thank you!

I'm now 5 months into my roughly estimated 8 month treatment (tray 12 of 16) and today had an audition. I was able to laugh and confidently smile throughout my audition that I know a year ago or even four months ago would have been highly conscious to do so. In fact, I now smile showing my teeth in ...

Why ask us?

Best to ask the experts: a professional dentist who has experience and knowledge of Invisalign. This is certainly not a decision you want to take up with a bunch of strangers!

My front tooth is moving!

I'm now a little over 4 months into my treatment. I started tray 10 (of 16) last night and I was a bit worried a few weeks ago. I was on tray 9 of 16 and didn't really see my front crooked tooth moving much. I often read it's about halfway through treatment that the front teeth start to really move,...

I feel more confident about my teeth...

... with the trays on than without. I'm on tray 9 of 18, and with them in my teeth looks pretty shiny and the front tooth looks like it's moved. Once I take them off, they're not as shiny, I see the front tooth has yet to move that much and I'm kinda like "aww" lol. I know I'm not alone. A...
