Hey there, I don't have much to add to the topic since I'm still investigating my options as well but I just wanted to let you know that my case looks somewhat similar http://www.archwired.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=33580 . I have been measured at a 9mm overbite and will require jaw surgery for a go...

I think the only one who will see this asymmetry is yourself, I'm sure no one will look as critically to your teeth as you do yourself, I can't even see the asymmetry myself by looking at a close-up pictures of your teeth, let alone people who are just looking at you or talking to you in real-life. ...

I can't really help you there since I'm not much of a flosser myself but I had the same thing happen to me, except I didn't get a warned beforehand and my orthodontist was so fed up he took out my bracers out of the blue. 7 years later and I have to do it all over again except maybe with jaw surgery...

I can't answer your first question. But would you really want to commit to having to wear a retainer for the rest of your life? After some thinking I decided its not worth it to have to wear a retainer for life, should that option be presented. I find it very daunting to consider wearing bracers fo...

I believe I will still have an overjet even if they make my upper front teeth more straight, but I honestly wouldn't mind unless this makes things worse in the future. I'll still have to do that consult with a surgeon or something though before I can write that off. What you don't seem to grasp is ...

I too had braces as a teenager--but they think I went through a late growth spurt and my upper jaw grew and my lower jaw didn't......resulting in an overjet. I was told at around 22-23years old, braces and BSSO due to the underdeveloped lower jaw......I said no way....it doesn't bother me cosmetica...

That is an old wives tale about the wisdomw teeth. Your teeth naturally migrate forward (and withthe tightening of your facial tissues over time also inwards) Thewy have done studies comparing those with wisdom teeth and those who wer congenitally missing them and the amount of movement was the sam...

The only thing about not having jaw surgery is that your chin is not brought forward. Aesthetically, the jaw appearance can be improved only with surgery, but if you're only concerned with your smile, surgery may not be necessary. The braces alone can fix the lip protusion too. Your overbite would ...

With comfortable I'm more referring to the way I'm treated, I don't really get a good feeling about an orthodontist taking a 1 minute look at my teeth and telling me I have 2 options, one which was only vaguely described, after which I was somewhat rushed out. My overbite is actually 1 centimeter wh...

Yeah the appointment I had for another consult was actually referring to another orthodontist, I didn't really hear a lot of positive things from my previous or tho so I'm glad I decided to look elsewhere. I'm sure if I can keep looking I'll find an orthodontist that I feel comfortable with. I reall...
