I know it is normal to have loose teeth while in treatment, that is how your teeth move into proper position. However, is it normal to have an extremely loose tooth? I went to a dinner party this past weekend and there were not 1, not 2, but 3 ADULTS with braces!! It was pretty awkward because we all kept looking at one another, as if we wanted to say, hey nice braces! or something! We all just ignored the issue instead.

I am in my first week of braces and I am so starved... I am craving everything, even food I would have never touched prior to braces. I long for the day that I can bite into a big juicy cheeseburger or a meatlover's pizza!! UGH! The lack of food has made me lose 8 pounds already, which is wonderful :)

I have a nickel allergy and asked (at a recent consultation) whether braces would make me break out like crazy and was told no.

I'm still in the consultation phase, but I was told I need 3-4 extractions. Talk about scary! 7 doesn't seem too bad, if it is including wisdom teeth
