Re: Could you watch someone with braces?

I honestly doubt many would notice. If you had regular metal braces top and bottom maybe the first few rows would, but with the linguals on the top, other than a lisp at first, most people talking to you up close won't even notice, let alone people sitting in an audience farther away from you. I hav...

Re: Calling all my fellow bite turbo wearers....

I had mine placed behind my two front teeth as well. I actually just got them off this morning (oh my gosh- it feels very weird now- my tongue isn't used to it), after a little over a year.

Of course now that they are off I have rubber bands, but hey, what can you do... :)

Will hot chocolate stain clear ligs/powerchains like coffee?

Hi all- I hope this hasn't been asked before. I ran a quick search and didn't find anything. I have ceramic uppers, and as I have self-litigating brackets, I haven't needed any clear ligs. Today though at about 9 months in I did have a clear powerchain put on. I don't drink dark soda and rarely coff...

I agree with the poster above. I know the feeling of wanting to get those 4 or so months out of the way as soon as possible, but you could end up tacking even more than that on to the end of your treatment time by switching so I do not think it's worth it, without even factoring the extra cost in.

Kissing? (bite turbos)

I apologize if this has been asked before- I tried to search and did not find anything relevant to my specific question. Being newly braced and single wasn't very daunting to me, but yesterday when I got the braces on, I was given bite turbos because otherwise my upper teeth would hit on the lower b...

Just a quick update... While getting them on today both the tech and the ortho said that 22 months seems pretty on track for my issues but since I'm an adult, and we tend to comply better with things like rubber bands, it could possibly be sooner. Crossing my fingers. They look great and no pain so ...

Thank you both very much. Lefty- you must be so excited to be so close to the end! I bet I'll be another one counting the days and hours like it seems you are. Evilnel- I am really happy with my ortho (well as happy as one can be before treatment) and don't think I'll shop around- it's too late for ...

22 months?

Hi guys! This is my first post here but I have read through the forums a bit and checked out some of your blogs, and this seems like a really supportive community. I am getting my braces on tomorrow (I have already had them once- off about 6 years ago when I was a teen) and I plan on asking my ortho...
