I feel your pain. My back teeth don't meet, and I have a cross-bite tooth on top that is currently edge to edge with the bottom. I have to adjust my jaw to get a decent bite in the back, and I still am not able to chew as well as I'd like. It's just temporary, though so I'm not complaining. My ortho...

Thanks earphone thingy! You'll be seeing change too before you know it! I'm starting ten on Monday and my top crossbite tooth seems to be pretty much edge to edge with the bottom tooth. Makes it tough to eat...but it screams progress so I'm okay with it. Wow, what a funny filter "Bluetoo...

I have bitten the sides of my tongue a couple of times...and I notice with the past couple of trays, I'm lisping when I take the trays out! Ughh!! I didn't even have too much a lisping problem when I first started this, so I'm a little surprised at this new development, but, like you, I was ...

Mine are pretty visible, as in they're much whiter than my actual teeth. That said, I've had them for about 3 months and everyone I've told that I have invisalign has been surprised and had no idea. Most people just don't look at your teeth closely enough to notice things like that, and IMO, the att...

Small claims court maybe...if you really feel he's incompetent and you don't want to accept his offer of finishing your case with braces maybe you would be awarded the amount it would cost you to have another ortho treat you. If you plan to complain to the board and your ortho is reprimanded or what...

If you quit now...your teeth with move back to the positions they were in before you started treatment, which will leave you with the gaps from the IPR. I think your only options at this point are to either finish with the invisaligns, get braces, or look into other "instant" alternatives ...

Thanks everyone - I'm super excited to see some changes coming. Thanks Dr. Tam, I only just received my Clincheck video....it wasn't offered, but at the last visit I asked about it. The ortho emailed it to me right away and apologized for not having offered it before. He must not have received that ...

Finally - A change I can see!

Hey all....went to see the ortho today...and received trays 7 through 12. Of course, I rushed straight home and pulled out tray one to compare with 12 and there's such an improvement between the two. Ortho says my treatment is right on track and I can see a light at the end of the tunnel! This proce...

Hi!... to answer your questions from my personal experience (I'm on tray 6 of 16) 1. I do sometimes worry, when I don't feel pressure anymore, that my aligners are comforming to my teeth rather than the other way around. I know it can't be though because of all of the changes in my bite. I'm under t...

Ahhhh - I kinda thought that's what you meant, but didn't want to speculate :). I have been drinking whatever I want pretty much. I'm not encouraging anyone else to do that, but I'm a diet coke addict and, well, I'd rather risk a cavity than root-reabsortion from taking my trays out too often...so t...

Contrats on getting started with treatment! As for your questions: 1. Yes. Just stay hydrated and you should be fine. If you typically take a break for snacking when you're biking, you may want to take a toothbrush with you to give a quick cleaning before putting your aligners back in. 2. I'm not su...

I'm curious about the bonded retainer too as that's what I was told I would get at the end of my treatment (a ways off...but already thinking about retainers :) ) Are there any alternatives to these that could be requested, hopefully for about the same cost, but that's not imerative. I've been think...

My ortho told me to wear mine 23 hrs a day as well...but I typically have mine out 30minutes in the am, 30minutes at lunch, and 30minutes or more in the evening. I find that I'm much more strict with myself in the first week, when I can feel that they're a little tighter putting them back in after t...
