the 'perfect' face is split up into thirds from top of your hairline to between your eyes, from tehre to bottom of your nose and from bottom of nose to bottom of chin. If any of these aren't equal a facial surgeon will look to change them to even it out

I have a gummy smile and thought it was something I thougth could be sorted at the dentist, but when I went to an orthodontist about my underbite he pointed out that the gummy smile was due to my upper jaw being too long.
