Hi Timmage I used an arch expander for 10 weeks.There is some tension on your teeth at first and every 3-4 days when you adjust the screw to expand. My advice to you is to wear it as much as possible, I actually ate most foods with it in (except meats!). You will get use to it after a couple of days...
