Yes, Phantom Muse, that is the greatest advice for Invisalign patients with attachments :D
It is so much easier to remove when you leave it overnight.

 Your dentist actually didn't check on your progress each time you get new trays? I think that's his job to check on the progress gradually. At the beginning of my treatment, I asked my ortho if it's Ok for him to just send me 2 new sets every month, because he is about 3 hour drive from wher...

Ah, I see, I always thought refinement is the number of tray  But I'm sure that my ortho said something about Invisalign won't give more than 2-3 trays, not 2-3 refinements. I better check again next time I see him. Hopefully I won't need any refinement so I won't have to deal with this refinem...

When I was on tray #1, the lisp disappeared in about 1 week, but now I'm on the second day of tray #2, I'm lisping again. The position of the bite changes on tray #2, so I'm re-adjusting to the new tray. I wonder if this happens everytime you move on to the next tray?

In my particular case, my fee covers the initial trays, a mid-course correction if needed, and three refinements. I am in Chicago, and I am paying $5050 for all of this, including retention. It is unlikely I will need three refinements, let alone a mid-course correction, but my ortho's rate was sim...

Second Time Around, were you shown the clincheck?
Were the final result similar to the clincheck?

At least you know everything goes well as planned :) I read some cases where the teeth didn't move as shown in the clincheck. Maybe the patients failed to meet the 20+ hours or even 22+ hours as suggested by Invisalign, or maybe it's the ortho's lack of experience with Invisalign.... :? I hope your ...

I read somewhere about this person after finishing Invisalign, he was told by his ortho to wear the retainers only at night for a lifetime.
Actually, I don't mind wearing them only at night for a lifetime, I'll be sleeping anyway

But maybe it depends on your ortho's advice?

hi andrea,
After finishing Invisalign, does your current teeth look similar as in the clincheck? I thought if it is, you couldn't get free refinements?

Hehe, I've never had hot drinks with the aligners in, too scared the aligners might warp.
Do you feel the aligners tighten a bit when drinking ice water? I thought I felt that last time. Now I always try to drink just cool water.

If you take calcium, will it lengthen the process?

I heard that if you have strong and hard bones, it will take longer to straighten the teeth. As calcium makes the bone stronger, will it lengthen the process?

I heard you have to take more protein, so that the teeth can move and set better or something.
