I'm not too sure about the exact name of the removable device he used but it fit in my upper arch - sort of like a plastic clear device - and the aim with this device was to widen the upper arch and create more room. Well when I half smile it still covers. And when I very broadly smile, it's not too bad - but I have to make an effort to do it in order to make the upper lip skin move across and not go over top teeth. Hope that makes sense!!
