We all have to get used to it, and we do..My bite changes daily sometimes I can eat properly and somedays, like today, I cant. My teeth hurt, my mouth hurts and my jaw aches, ahhhh well tomorrow may be better again

I dont think so...I was quoted a price before treatment commenced If I pay it off sooner or later that is my choice. 2 years is standard but some take longer (hope i dont end up being one of them lol).

Ask your ortho if you are concerned. I too have had this, well sort of anyway. This happens sometimes when my extraction gaps are closing if feels crinkly when i run my tongue along the roof of mouth. It soon goes away and smoothes back out again. Hope this helps...

I have been suffering a dry mouth off and on for nearly 12 months now..grrr
I dont think my mouth likes braces, its always worse when my teeth are moving. Drink plenty of water and keep your mouth clean. This helps me, good luck

I use a small mix of peroxide and water. It's the best and cheapest

Congratulations on your decision..I am 42 and have been braced for almost 12 months. The improvement with my teeth and my smile is nothing short of amazing. The time will go fast, and you too, will finally get the smile you deserve. Good luck to you, you wont regret it......

Thanks everyone I havent spoken to my ortho personally only left a message at the office. I have my next app in 10 days and will discuss this then. In all the allegy tabs are working so at least I am getting some relief. Will keep you posted on this.....

I eat almost anything i like nowdays but I do love nuts and sadly only have them in desperation. They get caught everywhere and are so hard to get out of all the brackets. Cant wait to grab a handfull oneday and throw them in my mouth and enjoy

After being braced for 10 months and wearing power chains and elastics for 4 months I had developed a sensivity to Latex. My lips swell and i get little blister like pimples on them. I have a small bend in between my two front teeth, nothing like yours though. Hope all goes well for you.

I do all the time because i cant be bothered taking them out. However, if having a full meal i do take them off because if i dont they tend to flick off anyway...ugh!

I've had dry lips since being braced over 7 months ago. Really best advise I can give you is always have lip balm handy, in your bag, in your car, in your pocket. No lip balm has been a miracle for me as i lick it off but i do like the strawberry flavoured one...lol. If I'm adicted to lip balm well ...
