As a 21-year-old girl, I can honestly say that I have NEVER laughed at a guy with braces. I just can't think why I would. Yes this used to happen to me a lot. I've got two bottom teeth without brackets (so they can rotate and get more space etc.) and when I bite down with harder food it takes the wire out. I've become quite good at popping it back in again! Ortho never notices... :wink:

Hi people. I'm relatively new to braces - got braced in January this year - and this website gave me the confidence to do it! Anyway, I just came back from an adjustment and found this weird arrangement in my mouth. It's in three corners and it really hurts! My ortho is pretty quiet whilst she works...
