Good luck! I hope they settle in very quickly and after your initial day back at work I'm sure they'll be old news. Definitely treat yourself to something nice x

Re: Freedom!!
I completely know what you mean. I've spent so long getting used to a brace that now I feel like I'm just plain again if that makes sense. I also feel a bit like I've forgotten how to smile. Did you? I saw my in-laws this morn and I'm sure they must have noticed but they never said so maybe they did...

Re: Whitening teeth after braces
Hi,
Sorry I have no idea about professional whitening but when I had my brace removed my orthodontist gave my teeth such a good polish that they look quite white compared with how the looked with it on. See what you think when they're removed.

Re: when do you get D-Day appointments
I was told that he'd have a look in 2 visits (3 months) but that came and he still wanted to tweak a bit so it was a further 6 weeks. so 18 weeks before debanding I was told that we were finishing up.
Hope this helps.

Freedom!!
Hi, I am free! I can't believe it. Debanding was interesting. Sort of felt like I was having my teeth removed as he approached each ceramic bracket and then as he pulled them forward (must've kept the wire in or perhaps it was the powerchain) it felt like he was peeling my teeth off. HE then used a ...

Re: trying to decide please help!
Forgot to add that mine were self ligating too which were great at first but for my last 3 months I was given clear powerchains which stained like crazy even though I avoided most staining foods.

Re: Composite bonding.
Thanks. Good to hear from someone with experience. My orthodontist said to go to my dentist but my dentist was the one who said he wouldn't bother with braces to begin with so I might go to a private cosmetic dentistry clinic (in the UK, are you?). How does the colour match up to your natural tooth ...

Re: trying to decide please help!
I have ceramic and never really had an issue with size. After a few months you won't really care what they/you look like.

Re: Getting braces & being a MUM!
Don't worry, it won't be that bad nd after a couple of weeks you'll be eating everything you used to. I have 2 children too and my youngest was just a year and a half when I got mine on.
I agree that wax is great. Make sure you have lots and have some mild pain relief about.

Composite bonding.
Hello,
I'm having my brace removed this week and I could do with some composite bonding to build up my two front teeth as they've worn unevenly and it wasn't visible until they straightened.
Has anybody had any experience and able to tell me the pros and cons?
Thank you

Re: Smoothing Of Tooth Edges
Mine discussed it with me before but suggested a bit of bonding rather than filing so I doubt he will now
