When I had braces I brushed at least 4 times a day. Now, 2-3 times a day.

I had a tendency when I had braces of brushing too hard so my dentist recommended I switch to soft bristle and that helped. Now I use Sonicare so it matters less and my gums are healthier.

As far as the other kids not having retainers, I bet you're right. That might be why my son thinks they don't have retainers.
