Re: Not sure what these things are
I'm on day 8 and my jaws are constantly aching. I've been weaning off the Dilaudid after my surgeon said I should be off it by now at my day 6 post op. When I tried to wean myself, perhaps I did it too fast at first and got what seemed like withdrawal symptoms..? (diarrhea, headache, dizzies, nause...

I didnt have my upper jaw moved back, but I did just have it moved up. So this is what happened. The very tip of my nose curved upwar...

I spent the 1st 24 hours in intensive care unit. I had the NG tube the whole time in intensive care unit. It made my t...

Re: What is this and when does it go away?

The left side of my face is more numb that my right. If I could get these uncomfortable feeling to go away I'd be feel pretty good. Advil doe...

Actually, I knew it would be difficult but it was different than I thought. The pain is a lot more than I expected. From t...

Re: One week post op; please help!
Hello everyone, For those who have gone through it to this point - did you experience good days and bad days; as well as good nights and bad nights? Two nights ago I was thrilled because I got about 6 hours of sleep. On the other hand, last night I got about 2. The constant tension in my lower face...

So, I went to the surgeon's office today for my first post-op followup. Let me tell you about my interesting experience. I came, it, they did a full panoramic x-ray to see how everything looked. The surgeon then came in and said everything looks amazing for 1 week post-op. He was very pleased. (what...

Re: Trouble sleeping after surgery
Hi everyone, I thought I'd post a new thread for another issue I'm having post-surgery. This is my 3rd night at home and I'm still unable to get to sleep properly. At the most, I'm getting about 2 hours a night. They recommend to keep elevated for swelling and bruising; what have others found; did ...

Any DO DO DO DO BE generous with the pain meds. If it says every 4 hours, take it EVERY 4 hours. Its not worth being uncomfortable and in pain. Don't worry, YOU WONT get addictied or hooked. Its non-sense and unwarranted. People only get addicted when theyre on it for MONTHS due to chronic problems....
