Re: What about non surgical options to upper jaw widening?
I wasnt offered to get my upper jaw widened. My ortho just kept telling me how much he could achieve with bracesand how wonderful it would all be without additional surgery. I now have my upper teeth all flared out and i dont really like it. I have to say though having less crocked teeth is nice i t...

Re: Question regarding Wisdom Teeth Removal Prior to Jaw Sur
I think its up to the individual surgeon to be honest. I had mine done before i had the braces put on 2 years ago but i do rmember my surgeon saying he didnt mind when as long as there was a 6 month gap between extraction and jaw surgery.

Re: No pain...normal?
Just enjoy it. I noticed that most people are commenting on the first adjustment being quite tough - i didnt find that, my worse adjustment was the time before last - i have had my braces for 9 months now. I think it was just because i had some IPR done and went up a wire strength top and bottom whe...

Re: Getting Braces TOMORROW! Please Help!?
Try not to panic, everyone is aprehensive before and then generally after a month you'll wonder what all the fuss was about. For me it was just really weird getting used to all the stuff in my mouth, i had a few sores but no PAIN just uncomfortable to eat but if you chose what you eat wisely you'll ...

Re: On track!!
No not everyone will have it. Its purely aesthetic. When your teeth come through as a 7 year old they have a serated edge, because my teeth have never touched and aren't used to bite off food my serated edges have never worn so the ortho filed them down so they are now straight. Sometimes they do it...

Re: On track!!
Yay well done you.... its nice when it turns into something positive isnt it. A couple of adjustments ago my Ortho filed down the serated bits on my teeth that havent worn naturally due to my lack of bite and the difference was amazing....... Bring it on!

Re: Did you get xrays again & reposition your brackets?
Hi Im not sure if its a regular thing to have done or not, sounds feesable though because they can see were your roots are positioned and make any changes to ensure the bite stays put after removal of braces as much as possible. I have a fixed fee for my braces so regardless of how long or what happ...
