I barely went anywhere near the internet at any point before my surgery and that's the only way I went through it calmly. If you spend enough time on the internet you'll end up worried by anything so there was no way I was going to look up 'information' from unsubstantiated sources. Trust the surgeo...

er the voice in minority here says in his case no. I had double jaw chop with a turbinectomy for good measure and my nose didn't change at all. Which is good because I like it how it is.

I think this is pretty normal. It took me several weeks before I could get a small soft toothbrush to my molars, and longer before I didn't brace myself before yawning. There's no rush especially if you're eating normal food.
