It all depend on how good is the os. Mine was good I didnt bleed too much but i had to puke because I had swalloed too much of it. If you follow directive from the os you wont have any problems.

I had this problem. They were under the gum and only a small tip of the tooth was peaking thru the gum. I had to have them removed by an oral surgeon. The os removed them under sedation so I dont remember anything beside suddenly waking up and it's over.

Call that lucky if your braces are covered by insurances. Here in canada there are virtually no insurances for that. We have to pay for every single step in braces. There are some exception for surgeries but there are rare insurance policy that covers braces but like i said they are rare.

Chances are he will only prescribe you antibiotics. You'll have to take them for a week or so before the abcess disappear. But again i'm not a OS and my recovery went quite well. Everyone has their own way of healing yours is juste slower and different.
