I chose the Ovation-C braces, but they seem to stick out far on my teeth. Wonder if the plain metal are a better choice because they are smaller.

I'm 44 and was braced last week. I feel self-conscious, but the braces are suppossed to help my TMJ and move my front teeth up so my bite improves. I guess there are a few of us older adults taking the plunge.

It is great that you have the children to go through this with. How are you doing now that the braces are on?
