I have been well over a year just trying to close my upper extraction gaps. Close to three years total. I have one stubborn gap about 1mm wide and it will just not close!

Just wondering if closer to the end before debracing if you had more frequent appointments. My Ortho wants to start seeing me every two to three weeks to change power chains.

Anyone know why some people get essex retainers while others get Hawley retainers, and why some get permanent retainers. I don't know which is which but I do hope that I get the least visible.

My arch wire popped constantly during the beginning of treatment when I had large extraction gaps. Now that they have closed more it never really happens. They can do something to wire the archwire so that it doesn't happen if it is caused by extraction gaps.

My gaps are taking forever too. about a mm on one side and it just never seems to close. Tonight I took extra elastics and put them on to try and speed things along myself. i know people might disagree with me doing my own thing but after two and a half years enough is enough. I want this over!

Has anyone ever had there braces removed from a crown? I don't know how hard they pull, its not one of the teeth that is bracketed, but I still have visions of the crown flying off!
