Yea, you're right, it usually does. Just this morning it was a lot larger than it usually is. It hasn't been this swollen since the first day really.

I had a sliding genioplasty on June 28th. Everything went very well. I have been recovering very quickly... until today. I woke up this morning and my face is so swollen, it's like doubled in size. Is this something that usually happens during the healing process or should I be concerned? Yesterday ...

I'll post some pics!! I'm going to wait until the 1 week mark though once the swelling has gone down a bit.

I think I like it, it's really hard to tell with all the swelling. What did you do to help with the swelling??

Yay!! I am now on the other side! Thanks mountaingirl. So, my surgery went according to plan. My surgery was at 12 on June 28th. I got back home around 7ish. I feel that too actually... I'm sensitive to every sound. My husband and his friend were eating something lastnight and the sound of th knife against was driving me nuts. I wonder what that is?

I met with my surgeon this morning to go over everything again, got my perscriptions, etc.
I feel a lot less nervous now. I feel really confident in his abilities.

I just want to get it over with though!!!

Glad everything went well and there isn't too much numbness. I'm actually having the exact same surgery on Monday - Genioplasty 8mm. I'm super nervous :S
