Re: Were you physically sick after your jaw op?

I was sick as soon as I woke up, and I was sick several times the next couple of days. It was worst when taking pills and the anti-nausea pills didn't really help much. I had a lot of blood in my stomach :) Wasn't difficult to throw up though, even when wired shut. Dont worry.

Timeline from before 'till 1,5 years after :) (Lefort I)

Hi! Thought some people might be interested in seeing this. During my journey I have often thought "Is this the finale product?" and after adding the last picture to my timeline it's easy to see that "Nope, wasn't!". So here's me at different stages. I know many worry about their...

Re: How long before you can exercise after surgery?

4 weeks before I was back doing martial arts - No fighting though  I waited till I had been debanded.

I waited 1,5 week before I started cycling, just on a indoor bike though.

It really helps you feel better :)

How long were you wired shut?

If you're feeling pain, maybe you should contact you ortho. That's what I would do, just to be on the safe side :)

Re: JULY 2010 BUDDIES!!!!

Just wanted to bump this thread because.... Yesterday... I was debraced ! It's unbelievable! The change to my teeth now that I can see everything properly is AMAZING. I am beyond happy with everything. It's kind of surreal when I remember what my teeth were like just 3 years ago before my expander....

Re: The official post your before/after photos thread.......

I'll just bump this. I'm sure there MUST be someone who'd like to share? In a few days it'll be six months for me.. So I'm just going to add a picture to my timeline. Still swollen and uneven. Can't wait to see your 6 month photo, VikingGirl! How do I view your "timeline"? It's just a few...

I have been invited out more now with gross metal braces than before I got them - the confidence thing is true.

Izzy and VikingGirl--WOW! VG, you give me hope that I'll look even better when the swelling is further gone (I'm totally happy with my look, but I'm a bit block-head-y at the mo). I was shocked myself by the big difference! Though, I still accidently chew on my cheeks once in a while, so I think th...

Haha, elastics! Don't worry, as long as you don't try to shout with them in your mouth, you won't notice them much :D
