I've got to wait 2 years as well. That is: - 2 years braces, and somewhere along the line I have upper jaw surgery (bringing my jaw forward and down) - 2 years retention after that... which relates to making sure my teeth and jaw don't go back to their original, poorly-grown positions. I'm 6 months ...

From what I can tell you should look into getting your upper jaw expanded (widened). That alone with braces would probably fix your problem. I haven't even looked at the other comments, I'm making this purely off looking at your photos. Anyway, you really should tell an orthodontist exactly what it ...

wow... 2 years waiting period in canada. that'd kill me. I think i'd rather pay the money than wait an extra 2 years.

It's just saying that if you have maxillary surgery (upper jaw) than you may damage a kind of "organ" that is what tells humans who is a bad sexual partner. Eg. you'll end up wanting to have sex with everyone, or more people than you would if the organ wasn't damaged because it tells you w...

Haha... yes I think I'm looking for an "unmarried" response here. (by the way, you can still "date" your husband) For me it's partially a confidence thing. It's really weird though... I've had really attractive girls single me out and flirt with me but then they back off graduall...

Kristian : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pb2QLQWQ-k He seems to have had the most benefit. You can tell that his mid-face was really flat initially (due to his upper jaw). It's clear that, after they moved his upper jaw in the way you described it has made his face more "3d" which is at...

I had to go in for surgery to have 4 wisdom teeth removed + 2 upper teeth in preparation for my braces, and following that my surgery. I recommend getting it done now. My wisdom teeth were impacted, and for a few weeks after surgery it was painful and menacing altogether but i'm glad its fixed. Now ...

By the way... I think that "VNO" mentioned in the article is giving all the women I've come across in my life that involuntary response of not "liking that person" or "feeling something strange." - I do say, it is weird that even girls who liked me from a distance decid...

Dating - Have your odds improved after surgery?

I'm curious how surgery has affected YOUR life in respect to the opposite sex (or same, if homosexual). I read the following article which also introduces another idea which I'd like some confirmation on too (only really applies if you have had upper jaw surgery though): http://www.head-face-med.com...

Every time I've had a cyst in the past (as a teenager) I kinda just left it and it went away. That's unforunate you needed surgery for them. Well, everyone has some kind of genetic problem... very few look beatiful without putting in some effort... I admit I wish I had "something" for &quo...

Feeling good about yourself - you can't put a price tag on that. It affects your entire life in a positive way when you love the way you look and are confident about everything you do. I feel unfortunate that my genetics let me down while I was growing, and that my parents never thought to get me ch...

Hi Andy, The lesson here is that, our parents can be bias on some very important things. They aren't going to tell us we need "work" done on us, however minor or major. They inadvertently mocked me just like many others did, so I realized I live in a reality where its not enough to just &q...
