I had my jaw wired shut for about a month, and it's really no easy feat. I used straws like my life depended on it and as far as I'm concerned it did. You can't fit the straw through your teeth like you used to but you can put it up against your cheek. I'm not an ortho or a surgeon or anything like ...

I got surgery roughly six months ago and I suffered with a lot of that. I wondered if it would ever go away and it really does get better. I still have some pain in my jaw (popping zits, never gonna happen OUCH) but talking and smiling get a lot easier!
