Re: Has any one had their Orthodontist take out wire for a m
Not sure if the 2nd poster was making a joke or not lol? If he wasn't I dunno if thats true my teeth are very clean and I floss regularly. In regards to the Kip, I also think that my teeth may shift but I'm not 100% sure why that was part of the treatment, if he wanted them to shift a certain way I ...

Has any one had their Orthodontist take out wire for a month
Hey There, So I've had braces for about 2-3 years now. Apparently I'm close to finishing up my treatment. Been wearing elastics too for the past 2 years. When I went to see my ortho today for a standard monthly checkup and adjustment etc. He said he would be taking out the top and bottom wire for a ...

I recently had SARPE done back in July of this summer. It is definitely a commitment as you have to sacrifice a lot to bear with the appliance being in your mouth for a good half year. Post Surgery isn't too bad to deal with and eventually you become used to wearing the Expander and eating with it. ...

ah thanks for the professional information, do you recommend I ask my orthodontist to perhaps put in the braces on the top teeth that aren't in the way of the expander? I don't want to tell him what to do and perhaps seem like I'm undermining his plan or whatever by asking it, or should I just let h...

well before my sarpe it didn't look too bad, now it seems like the gaps on both side when my teeth connect (or try to connect) are bigger now. However I guess I'm just antsy to try to see results quickly even though I know it will take alot of time. I just hope my ortho isn't waiting for my bite to ...

Elastics and Cross Bite Fixing
I was wondering if anyone who used elastics had answer to this question. I'm wearing elastics 24/7 at the moment to fix my cross bite, after my sarpe surgery it seems like one side expanded more than the other, and the latter is still affecting my bite as i'm not biting properly yet. My ortho has me...

I also heard about the pop thing with adults who expanded, however the one person who expanded without doing SARPE like just pure expander with no surgery is the one who told me one night they heard a loud pop. Since I did my treatment with Surgery involved to unfuse the bone I never had such a sens...

thanks for all your support and stories! I guess the most annoying thing for me is just wanting to get my top braces on so i can fully close the gap that was left over after expanding. I don't care much about how people think of my looks etc. but it gets tiring having to explain to people who i don'...

How long did your ortho keep your RPE in for?
Hey guys, I had SARPE surgery this past summer end of may to be exact (may 30th). I did all my turns and my ortho glued the keyhole of the expander when i saw him in august of last month. I just had my recent appointment with him hoping it was time to take it out, but he said he wants to wait longer...
