My ortho said that my back teeth will shift into place after awhile. My retainer doesn't cover them and I've noticed that they are aligning better now after 4 weeks. That may be the same with you. My retainer holds all my front teeth in place and the back ones will find thier spot naturally. (He said)

I had a samll chip in my right lateral incisor and the dentist filled it in for me. It looks fantastic! I paid about $70.00 and my insurance paid the rest. I was told that any cosmetic front tooth work is covered by insurance.

A new retainer is being made for me. I'm being switched from a Hawley to an essix.
I only had braces on my top teeth and this is causing a little complication. My lower teeth are straight, but a couple stick out enough to thro my yop teeth out.

do that clinching thing all the time too! I hate the retainer, but I only have to wear it 24/7 for a month, then only at night.

I hooked up with my Ortho this morning and he adjusted my retainer and already my teeth are back where they should be. I feel so much better.

So - make sure that your bite is set properly on the first day you get it. It doesn't take much to adjust it if it's off.

My teeth hurt so badly today. I don't know what to do. My Ortho will be in another town 70 miles away next week. He won't get a message about my retainer until Monday. Until then I'm living off ibuprophen. Is this going to ruin a whole year of braces?
