The post from the Dr. here said relapse with a tongue issue is 100%. My open bite relapsed within a month after debanding. My ortho should have warned me and I could have saved thousands of dollars. I am pissed.

I was wearing a bottom Hawley retainer, but after 2.5 months my four bottom front teeth were still mobile. I had to have a perm. bottom retainer bonded to each of my front six teeth to stable them. Not happy. I was never told teeth may become and stay loose due to ortho. Anyone else experience this?

Well it has been 5 weeks since my braces were removed. My bottom front 8 teeth are still slightly mobile. I am able to wiggle them. I am worried that they will not firm up. I have a history of periodontial issues that was treated for a decade. Not sure if the mobility is due to my periodontial issue...

I don't think it is a bad ortho in my case. He is well respected and practiced for decades with no complaints. My teeth are just hyper-sensitive to pain.

If he will let you wear them 24/7, the pain will go away rather quickly. The on then off is the problem. Good luck.

Life is too short! Find a different Orthodontic. Ortho works, you just need a good one you trust. Find a good one and forget about the one you currently have and any money that you may lose. Move on and be happy. Remember that you have the power to be happy, you just need to do it.

I am due to be debanded on Nov 1st and notice that one of my last molars is slightly mobile. Went to ortho today and he said it is normal and that once the pressure from the braces is removed the tooth will become stable. Any extra reassurance would be helpful. Thanks.
