My ortho has them and he discussed it with me during my consultation. It is supposed to cut the treatment time by around 30% I was told. I was however put off by the extra £550 that it was going to cost and also the fact that it was so new that there wasn't an awful lot of research available...

Hi Silvergirl! I'm just back from a trip and catching up on everyone's stories... Great pic, you can definitely see that your bottoms are straightening! After going back to work all is good. I'm like you and actually feeling quite bold about it all. Emotionally I've got my head round it now and i ju...

Well that's me back from my first trip and no real dramas other than a dry mouth. Flippin heck saying hello and goodbye to hundreds of people doesn't half take it's toll on my brace face! Whilst I was away my molar buildups seemed to have worn away to the point that my top teeth were clattering my l...

Just back from my trip and thought I'd catch up with what had happened on Monday. Yay!! Sounds like it went well and a totally different experience to the first one. I'm so pleased for you. Fingers crossed the financial details are more realistic than the last one. I bet you're now obsessed with the...

My ortho is planning to correct mine with elastics which seems to be the general non surgical route. Not sure when in treatment this will happen as I've read on here people starting at various times. I've also got molar buildups so I can be braced top and bottom from the start and this stops me knoc...

Congratulations and welcome to the club! I too have molar buildups and nearly 3 weeks into my treatment and I hardly notice them, so it does get easier I promise! You soon learn how to pulverise things on them and once you do start eating more solid food they somehow mould down to your bite and feel...

So 12 days in and I thought I'd post a bit of an update... Perhaps I'm speaking too soon but so far physically all has been good. My tongue was just a little sore rubbing on my molar buildups and a hook on my bottom right molar dug into my cheek but nothing a salt rinse and wax hasn't solved. (Now t...

Hi Chrystal, In answer to your question: Did you have the x-rays and impressions taken at your first appointment? Yes during the first consultation I did. At the second I had impressions taken and then went back a few days later for x-rays (their x-ray machine was broken otherwise I think I would've...
