Time flies.. I can't believe its already been 6 months in. Now they put power chains on to close the gap in and I already feel it working whoa...this is gonna be quick

I find it the hardest eating with those blasted spacers which takes about 2 weeks for me. With braces it took me about a week to eat regularly. i munched on soup and baked potatoes for the most part...by now you should be used to it.

The Act that contains no alcohol is great! when i don't have that I use 50/50. makes my mouth feel great!!!

Oh Wow! Silicone Wax?? I am definitely gonna look into that! If I can eat with it thats even better. I don't like the fact that I have to sit there and scrape off the regular stuff beforehand! Thanks for the Tip!!!!

Unfortunently I have to wait another week to put my wires in but I do have brackets and some cool purple bands! Congrats to you! I get braced up tomorrow 9/28 and I am super excited. I tell it and tell it again! I wished I could have gone without these spacers, they are the worst! Best of luck to you!!! I'll be checking on you!

Thanks for all your replies. I am happy to know that the worst will be over in 24 hours! My jaw and ears are in pain and I'm sure the spacers have something to do with it. I'll keep popping motrin in the meantime!

For me...they are terrible. I get my braces in Tuesday and I cannot wait for them to pull these off! I think I might tell them to let me chill for 30 minutes before they put the brackets on so I can feel like my normal self again! LOL Motrin has helped me a great deal.
