it's been awhile... =Z=

Hi! I haven't really been on here in awhile, just thought I'd post an update. Two appointments ago my right canine got a bracket. I didn't take pics from that appt but here are the ones from the last one: 3/7/06 http://xb6.xanga.com/ca5b63f41843344088714/z29838613.jpg the rest of these are from 3/21...

I haven't had mine exposed yet. I've heard that the average is 8-9 months, but I know a girl whose canine came in after only 1 month and I've heard of other people's taking more than a year. From what I gather, some people's canines are too far up in the roof of their mouth to leave them exposed, so...

And is it just me, or is that a baby canine with no bracket on it? I wonder if she has an impacted canine... I don't know anything about the Miss Seventeen contest, but it sounds like a beauty pageant, which I despise with every fibre of my being. But still, it's nice to see a 'flaw' being appreciat...

Yep, my silver ligs stained too. In the mirror they actually looked like of greenish, but in pictures they look like the "golden" hue you speak of. It didn't really bother me though, it was nothing compared to the clear ligs turning so yellow they were almost brown. *shudder*

fourth adjustment =Z=

I had my fourth adjustment today. The right canine is now attached directly to the archwire with powerthread, and I have a figure 8 tie on my right first bicuspid (it's twisted.) third adjustment =Z=

Pics: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v254/laurenfreeman/teeth4.jpg My third adjustment was on 12/19. I meant to get a color, but chickened out at the last minute and went for silver. I was worried about it because the assistant had both the silver and clear on the tray and the silver looked so da...

Is it power thread? My right canine, which came in on its own but up really high, is attached with this long string of rubber that they wrap around the brackets...it's not connected like a regular powerchain though. I've had it for a week and it hasn't broken, but they said I had to come back in two...

You may have answered this in another post, but why is your right central fake? Is it an implant? If so, do you have any problems with it? What was the implant surgery like? Why did they make it thicker than the rest of your teeth? I'm really sorry to interrogate you like that, I'm debating whether ...

When I had braces for the first time it was to close up gaps, and my gums swelled up BIG time, but about a week after my braces came off they were completely back to normal. So you might want to wait a week or so and see what happens.
