Re: Second Molar shifting out of alignment. Orthodontist says its fine
The data show that some judges, on average, were much more lenient than others and that this resulted in a range of total scores between 19.7 and 27.5. Most of the deductions were found in the buccal segments and most were related to the second molars. We present these findings in the context of cli...

Second Molar shifting out of alignment. Orthodontist says its fine
What would you do if your second molars are out of alignment. The two orthodontists said that it was fine and they will not bracket them. I noticed my old impressions that the second molars are aligned and now they are not I have been wearing braces now for 16 months. Here are some pictures. Before ...

I know what you mean about being fustrated. My jaw started popping at my last appointment except he built up my second molars and I have to start wearing rubberbands again. Luckily I got lower brackets so now my bottom teeth are starting to straighten out. My jaw still aches every now and then but i...

Well I got lower braces at my last appointment with a very thin archwire. So for the pain I got my bottom left second molar built up. So now I am wearing elastics again hopefully moving my bite to a pain free location. My rickanator was hard to deal with at first but now I almost forget that I have ...

I am having the same problem. Last month I was told I didn't need to wear the elastics anymore. Well, my pain came back. So my last appointment bottom molar was built up and I have to start wearing elastics again, plus I got my lower braces on. I am still having some pain, but I am hoping it will pa...

Well my molars moved maybe to quick. The space seemed to close in about 2 and a half weeks. Now I have been without elastics for about 4 weeks and the left side of my jaw is starting to ache like it did last year before the splint. It is fustrating that I have done all this and now it seems to be ba...

Sorry to say but I think you should have braces on a little while longer. I would have thought your orthodontist would have widened your jaw a little. Then that would help move the laterals into there correct postion. Also your right canine doesn't seem to be symetrical with your left canine. I am k...

I just wanted to let everyone know that I got my new rickanator appliance. It is very annoying since I am unable to talk with it in. Also there is about a 1/4 space in between my upper and lower molars. So I have to have elastics pulling up my lower molars. It is quite painful. Here are some photos....

Spacers are in I had to put in 6 spacers all together. 4 for the bottom molars and 2 my right upper. It took about 15 minutes for me to put all of them in correctly. They are very painful on the bottom since I have to have the splint over the top of them and it now makes the splint a little spongy. ...

Putting in my own spacers and getting braced in 2 weeks
I just thought I would update everyone that I will be inserting my own spacers and getting lower braces in two weeks. I will also have to put in spacers on my upper molar since one my bands had fallen off a week before Christmas.

AstronautJenny, I had the same problem on one side. I figured it out to be a loose molar band and each time I would eat something it hurt. I found out that it was a loose band, so I called my orthodontist and asked if I could remove it myself and cut the wire. I only did this because he is 280 miles...
