Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB

I got my braces October 2010, had my exposure surgery April 2011, my canine broke the gum December 2011, the tooth was pretty much done June 2012 and is finally mostly in place as of now. So... it took about 21 months for my tooth to come done completely. However, everyone is different. I can honest...

It's been awhile but i'm checking back in! My canine was fully exposed in June 2012 and I am getting my braces off in 5 weeks! It has been quite the journey but totally worth it! Hope everyone else is having good luck!

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB

It's been 5 months ago I seem to have made some progress. I had an ortho appointment on Friday where he recommended that I get an x-ray because my canine is coming in above my eye tooth (as we expected would happen). Although it is coming in above my other tooth, it IS coming in so I can't complain ...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB

Congrats! I was so relieved when I had the surgery done and over with. I wish I could tell you it gets easier from there but I had it done about a month ago and the waiting game is much worse. I was told it was in my best interest to have my baby tooth extracted, according to my dentist and 2 orthos...

Canine Exposure Surgery

Hey there! I battled with the decision of whether or not to get braces in order to have this procedure done for a long, long time. My teeth weren't crooked but the small baby tooth always made me hate my "uneven" smile. So after picturing my someday wedding with an uneven smile I decided t...

Impacted Canines?

I am going in for my consultation this month to schedule my canine exposure surgery. I got my braces on in October 2010 and my ortho wanted me to wait until my teeth were staright before having the surgery. So now it's time, he wants me to do it ASAP. I will probably schedule it for begining of Apri...

I'm new at this...

I got my braces on Friday. I am 21 & I have been having a really hard time adjusting. I cried for about two hours after I looked in the mirror. I thought I was prepared for this long term but i'm questioning it now (not that I have a choice now). My teeth are pretty straight and shouldn't take l...
