I can not eat and its making me really testy and have been told that it takes up too two weeks to be able to eat solid foods! How long did it take you?

Iam 18 and new to braces. My mouth taste like blood and nickles, i have blisters and i cant even drink through a straw!! Please tell me iam not the only unhappy person with these on.
