Another vote for wire out. I recently had my teeth cleaned and did the ortho-dentist-ortho trip. My hygenist was very grateful. She said that it is so much easier to clean teeth with the wire out.

I say go with whatever you will be the most comfortable looking at. You will have them in your mouth for quite some time. I have all ceramic - top and bottom. I see that you are having surgery, so I understand no wire. But, why did they go ahead and put the brackets on? I wouldn't want the brackets on without a wire since it's not doing anything but irritating your mouth. Good luck with your surgery.

Hopefully your teeth have moved enough. I think if your molars can come together in the back and your front teeth don't hit brackets, you will get them off. My biggest problem was when he would tell me to bite down, I could never figure how I should bite down. My bite has changed so much. Good luck!

A little over 10 months in and I finally got my bite turbos out today! I was so excited when my Ortho said that things were looking good and they could come out. It wasn't much fun getting them out, but it feels great now.

I think it depends on what your ortho is trying to accomplish. I have had my appointments as soon as 2 weeks and as far apart as 6 weeks. 6 weeks is the norm for me. I think 6 - 8 weeks is pretty normal for most ortho patients. I think it is important for an ortho to take their time in moving teeth....

Obviously - you think the issue is obvious, but so far no one on this board does. So, either the angle isn't good on your photo or you are extremely picky. They are your teeth - you need to talk to your Ortho - not go crazy on this board looking for people to agree with you.
