Re: My Open Bite (PICS)

I met up with my orthodontist who also consulted with other oral surgeons and orthodontists who have come to the conclusion that this is where my bite feels most comfortable, and that they predict it won't move any further. Like I said, it's 0.5-1mm at the most, and my head is lifted when I took the...

Re: My Open Bite (PICS)

Yeah, I can eat fine and everything. And, my ortho said that I won't need surgery or anything again. It's about 0.5-1mm, plus in the photo my face is positioned up a bit. It's my choice whether I want braces again, but he'd rather wait another year or so. I really appreciate your help, though. Thank...

Wow, this is really interesting.

What do you think of Kirsten Dunst? What does she have?

My Open Bite (PICS)

This is my current open bite. I've already had two sets of braces and upper/lower jaw surgery 2.5 years ago. It's my decision whether I want braces or not to correct this.
Is it very severe? I'm freaking out. Please reassure me.

Slight Open Bite Relapse.

In April, 2009, I underwent massive jaw surgery on both my upper and lower jaws. It also corrected my gummy smile, among other problems related to my jaw. The surgery was a complete success. However, fairly recently it has been discovered that my open bite has slightly relapsed. It now measures 1mm....

Celebrities with Open Bites?

Hi guys,
I was wondering if any of you knew of any celebrities or 'famous' people with open bites.
I thought I'd start this thread for people with open bite problems, and for reassurance.

So let's get the ball moving. Who do you think has one?

I had them too for a few days after surgery, so don't be worried. I was given panadol forte (sp?), which helped tremendously. However, I would definitely recommend a lot of rest. Maybe read a book to get your mind off it, or drink some water. In a weird sort of way, drinking helped relieve it. If it...

My nose looks totally different. It now has a little high tip at the end, which everybody thinks is 'cute'.
I love it!

Thank you so much everybody!
You are all so kind.
Being bullied is a traumatic experience, although I'm happy to have overcome that :)

RE Jammy: that's so weird that we look alike, especially seeing that we're on a forum like this. How ironic haha. Thank you :)

I was 16y 10m, but I was made aware that I'd need to undergo the surgery at 13 (I had a severe open bite).
I'm now 18 and believe that it was the best decision I've ever made.

18 months since surgery.

Hi everybody. This is my first post on the boards after reading countless stories on people's experiences regarding oral surgery. I got mine done when I was 16y 10m. I had my upper and lower jaws done, a chin enhancement and my four wisdom teeth out. All in all, I had a very extreme open bite. It wa...
