Re: Nurse J's Bracetastic Adventure
For anyone who is interested, here are my week 6 pictures. You can really see some progress when you look at the wires and how they are (slowly) straightening out! So this is my 1 month progress....I can't exactly pinpoint what has changed, but something has. I don't see any difference when I look in the mirror though. Day 1: http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n97/rosene80/week1.jpg 1 Month: http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n97/rosene80/week4.jpg

Re: Nurse J's Bracetastic Adventure
Well tomorrow will be 3 weeks since I've been braced, and there are NO changes in my teeth. :? I know this takes time, but it's slightly discouraging. I was hoping for at least some minor sign that things were moving along. I've taken some pictures to compare, and I've studied them closely, so it's ...

Worried about bending archwire
Hi everyone!
When I'm brushing or flossing, how can I be sure that I'm not bending the archwire? Or even when I run my tongue over my teeth...I don't want to bend the wire and have my teeth moving in the wrong places!

Re: Nurse J's Bracetastic Adventure
So I have survived the first 9 days in braces. So far, not too much pain. Eating is easier, I actually was able to bite into toast and a banana with no problems! Brushing/flossing is also getting easier, although I do find that I brush quite a bit, as I can't stand feeling like my braces are dirty. ...

Is it possible for crowded teeth to move?
I've had my braces on for about 4 days now. So far, I've noticed that it's almost impossible now to floss my uppers on one side especially. My teeth are crowded (you can check my blog by clicking below), and the ortho said we would wait 6 months before deciding to extract teeth or not. But can my te...

Re: Nurse J's Bracetastic Adventure
Thank you so much jensceana73 and ellebraced !! I just got back from having my upper teeth braced, and it wasn't bad at all. It does feel very foreign and odd though, that feeling of hard things rubbing against my cheeks and behind my lips. They put a smaller wire on, and said that they will put a s...

Re: Nurse J's Bracetastic Adventure
So tomorrow's the big day! For some reason, I'm feeling a little sad/nostalgic....like I'm saying goodbye to my teeth as they are now...Is that strange? I am excited however at the changes ahead. I have a new Waterpik, which I have been using for the past couple of days. I can totally see how useful...

Wow, that was fast! I wish it had been that way for me, I've had to wait 3 weeks! I'm getting my uppers on Monday. I agree with you, this site is full of great advice, so glad i found it.
Good luck, and I hope to read about your progress!
How are you finding eating? I'm worried about that part.

Re: Female / 24 / UK - Getting Fixed Braces
Wow, your molars have really moved in that short period of time! And so has your right (or your left?) front tooth. It amazes me how these things actually do work! lol. Can you tell I'm still a newbie, I have to learn all the proper tooth names and technical terms!

Your teeth look great! Gives me hope that my teeth will look good too. Good choice of colours, almost makes me wish I was getting metal instead of ceramic!

Re: Nurse J's Bracetastic Adventure
drgnchsr36 , I was thinking about drinking the tea through a straw too, but I knew that would become annoying to do. I think I'll just be extra careful not to "swish" the tea around in my mouth too much. 3 more days till the Big Day. My husband can't understand my excitement!! Heehee! I'm...
