Re: Inman aligners
Hi all, Am after some advice after having lurked here for a while! Like many of you I too am weighing up investing in Inman. I had braces for quite a severe case of misalignment when I was in my teens which did a great job, but now my wisdoms are coming through and I am noticing some relapse. I've ...

Re: Inman aligners
I've got my wire fitted so for anyone that had any concerns about it - it sits flush on the back of your teeth and is completely coated so it doesnt get dirty or cause cleaning problems or anything. It gets cleaned when you brush your teeth. Its taken a bit of getting used to having it there but its...

Re: Inman aligners
Depends on what movement your teeth need. I had one to go forward and that took two weeks. The one that needs to be rotated is what is taking the time. I'm also on month 4. For those of you with appointments four weeks apart I'd keep an eye on things. I found my teeth moved very quickly after my app...

Re: Inman aligners
Tennessee - I remember it making my mouth quite sore the first few says but you do get used to it. Every now and again I go through a phase of catching my tongue on it all the time and then I just seem to stop doing it. You do adapt to it quite quickly. The worst part for me (and still is) is findin...

Re: Inman aligners
This is the first time the springs have been tightened. I do have composites on my teeth as well. Still in some pain for ten minutes or so when I first take it out and then again when I put it in again but it seems to be settling down. Am back to not being able to eat apples again though! They look ...

Re: Inman aligners
Went back to my dentist yesterday and he reckons it will only be a few more weeks. Just the final lining up to do now. I had the springs tightened and quite a big gap made and my appointments are now going to be weekly. Unfortunately because the springs are tighter and the pressure is increased i'm ...

Re: Inman aligners
I have to say pyueao I would be concerned about whether you dentist knows what he's talking about and has done this before? There is absolutely no way you'd be able to eat with it in and the whole point of the Inman aligner is that you can remove it so why on earth would you try and eat with it stil...

Re: Inman aligners
Wow Dominie they really do look fab. I think I might treat myself to some red lippie after i'm done with this process too! Got my composite fixed this afternoon and she added a bit more so the pressure and pain has really kicked in now. Hoping that will settle down really soon! Mine also move really...

Re: Inman aligners
Well the composite they put on two days ago has just chipped off - annoying. Especially on a Friday night! Will have to ring them on Monday but my dentist is on holiday now so not sure if i'll have to see someone else or what. Quite annoyed because I think the tooth has moved in a few days and now i...

Re: Inman aligners
I've got yet more composite on my rotated tooth so it sticks out quite far now but hopefully that should increase the pressure enough to get it moving. He is also going to order some different springs for next time i go and put composite behind them to make them tighter - has anyone had this? Purple...

Re: Inman aligners
I dont get any pain with mine either. Although I did right at the beginning. I'm going back to see my dentist tonight - i'm at about 7 weeks. Really pleased with the movement of my front tooth and they look sooooo much better. The rotated one doesnt seem to have moved at all though despite composite...

Re: Inman aligners
I cant wait to be done now. I dont find wearing it too bad but its making my tongue a bit sore and I'm just bored of it now! I go back to the dentist on Thursday which be five weeks. A good portion of the way through. I havent noticed much movement on my tooth that needs to be rotated but hoping the...

Re: Inman aligners

I am lisping quite badly and can't wear them all the time as l'm a nurse and haver to speak to patients in clinic setting a...

Re: Inman aligners
Lordlolz i was the same. They werent too bad, they didnt make me not ever want to smile. Everyone i spoke to at work hadnt even noticed. It just always bothered me slightly. I got to the point where either i did something about it, or i just needed to get over it. I went for the former! Went back fo...
