Re: questions about the end
I'm finally, finally done! :HugeGrin: So the retainers took about two weeks to come in, during which I wore the last set of trays (without the attachments, I was told the attachments are responsible for moving teeth and since my teeth were done moving this was not a problem. The trays served as plac...

questions about the end
So I'm almost done with my first and only set of refinements. I had gone to see the ortho instead of my dentist at my last appointment because my top teeth were still sticking out (read overbite) and I thought it would fix that. But I was told this is normal especially for the shape of my face/mouth...

Re: Can invisalign correct overbites?
I have an overbite and after 16 uppers and then a refinement set of 8 (at which I am on 6), not only is this problem not corrected, but my upper teeth aren't even moving anymore. I have a dentist appt today, and we are going to have some words because what should have been finished does not seem pos...

Re: doing the dentist/orthos job for them!
That happened to me too! When I received my refinement set, I noticed the extra attachment space when I got home and further examined them. I called and pretty much got the same response, "come in when you can and we will put it on" What if I hadn't seen it?? I feel if you aren't on top of...

Re: refinements = discouraged
I'm about half way through my first (and only b/c I can't do it anymore) refinements, at least for the top. They appear to have stopped moving all together. They are as straight as they should be, but they stick out too much (causing a slight overbite). This has been true since even before I was don...

Re: refinements = discouraged
Thanks guys. I guess this is unfortunately a lot more common than I thought. They really should discuss all the extension possibilities when you first start invisalign. I know it will be worth it in the end, I just wish the end was now.
June can't come fast enough! (if that actually is the end)

refinements = discouraged
So I was at the end of my invisalign treatment (16U/19L) and was told of course I needed refinements. My top teeth look good, but need to come in a bit (I still have a slight overbite) and the bottoms need a little work. I figured I just needed a few. I won't even get into how many impressions were ...
