Re: Inman aligners

Slightly getting annoyed with IA lately. Almost at 5 weeks now. Haven't seen any movement since before week 2. This is supposed to be a very simple case too, except for one incisor which is slightly rotated - and that hasn't moved at all. Also, there seems to be just a bit of crowding between my fr...

Re: Inman aligners

Thanks TraceT :D That is the one piece of advice I would offer to anyone during treatment. Only you know your mouth, better than your dentist. So speak up! I truly believe my dentist was not confident using it and it was all trial and error for him. He seemed like a short tempered man and I got the ...

Re: Inman aligners

Thanks TraceT! Good luck with your treatement! I went back to a different branch of my dentist today and got a 2nd opinion. I am delighted to say he totally agreed with my concerns and put aligner back in with composites :D I am so happy that someone finally listened to me. He could see how one of t...

Re: Inman aligners

Smiletime, I think your teeth look really good now. But if you're not happy with the result and you think there is more to be done then don't get the retainer just yet. You've paid for this treatment, you need to make sure you get what you paid for. Get another opinion, just to make sure that this ...

Re: Inman aligners

According to my dentist I am finished. I am not a happy bunny today. I think there were 2 that were still moving and he sized me up for the clear aligner.

Have a look at my pics on Page 77 and see what you think.

I am seeing another dentist for a 2nd opinion.

Re: Inman aligners

Thanks :D

Took over 4 months in the end!

I actually think they are still moving!

Always follow your instinct. I have found my dentist was sometimes wrong and I knew I was right. You know your teeth better than anyone! Even the dentist :D

Re: Inman aligners

SeanPaul,

I am from N Ireland too and Gentle Dental Clinic in Warrenpoint do it for £1000 per arch. That is everything all in.

I get mine done in ROI cos I am based down here, but was gonna go home to get the treatment.

It's just expensive in ROI.

If you are near Warrenpoint, then go for it! :D

Re: Inman aligners

Hi smiletime, did it hurt getting your teeth filed to make them level? I'm going to ask my dentist to do the same because one of my front teeth was chipped slightly as a child and is shorter than the other one. I think it will look more prominent when they're straight. Did your dentist do this as p...

Re: Inman aligners

Smiletime, has your speech improved as your teeth straightened? I'm week one on upper and still sound stupid but when I just have the lower one in you wouldn't even notice as my speech is perfect. Hi Hatemyteeth, Yes your speech improves a little. The more the aligner moves your teeth, the more the...

Re: Inman aligners

MrsW2be- welcome to the forum and hope you are getting along well with you IA. It takes some getting used to, I've had mine just over a week and it's no longer sore at all. Smiletime- hang in there. It's worth the wait and no other option works this fast...remember to tell me this in a few months :...
