Re: Upper Jaw Surgery with Possible Genioplasty?
Wow looks, great well done. I also think that you should take one step at a time with these surgeries, the advantage ofmcourse is to get it all over and done with and heal in one go back I guess you never know if you are satisfied with one change already before moving onto the next, then of course y...

What's next after x rays?
Hi all, After 2 yrs in braces my ortho is requesting an x ray but didn't mention debanding. What is the usual procedure? Do we debanding if all the x rays look good or usually they still need to tweak a bit after the next x ray appointment? Anyone that went through this could please share their expe...

Severity of underbite if fixed with braces?
Hi, Basically I used to have an underbite where the lower teeth overlapped the upper teeth. With no extractions but braces and elastics only my underbite was corrected. However I feel my face is still very long and wondering whether I need surgery anyway? Like if my underbite can be fixed with brace...

Re: Good and bad ortho? Same thing?
Cool, so different orthodontists whether 'good' or 'bad' pretty much just have different ways to approach things? I guess its logical to say an ortho that insists on extraction while another managed to avoid extractions. But say if 2 orthos did not require extractions, would you say the end result w...

Re: Good and bad ortho? Same thing?
I understand what you mean, but with all things aside, just regarding final results, would you suppose there is much of a difference between a good and bad ortho?

Good and bad ortho? Same thing?
We do hear a bit of talk about "good" and "bad" orthos...but what does this really mean? Does the good ortho tend to do a better job? Or do they all pretty much achieve essentially the same thing? I have no idea what to look for when going for an ortho, perhaps the cheapest one i...

Extending Appointments
What is the consequence of spreading out appointments i.e. seeing the ortho every 2 months instead of every month?

Re: Number of adjustments in total?
Would you know if the orthodontist changes anything during each visit in the 4 weeks?
I'm like half way and my ortho seems to be only changing the wire to the same type each time.
I assume they just want to continue to use the thick wire and changing it because they lose their shape after some time.

Sounds a bit exaggerated?
When I look at my upper teeth chewing surfaces in the mirror I find that my right premolars are tilted a bit too inwards compared to my left premolars. I say this because I think our upper teeth should form a fairly smooth "U" shape however on the right, just like on the right side of the ...

Re: Anyone have success with braces only?
Sorry for the late reply. I would like to post my success story so far. I had a complete underbite (lower teeth covered my upper when biting together) but I was also able to strain my jaw to reach an edge to edge bite. After a few months, this underbite transformed into an edge to edge bite, after w...

Number of adjustments in total?
Does anyone know the average or range of adjustments one should have for a full treatment plan? I am asking because due to my circumstances, I only go for adjustments every 8-12 weeks I think most people go monthly. My ortho still thinks that 2 years would suffice. Does this sound right or the ortho...

Yeah I had this done today and I felt it was sensitive and so worried the ortho filed down too much?
