Re: I have my uppers braced but wondering if I made a mistak

I don't think he'll be mad. Most people have to get either top or bottom first done anyway. I would just ask him. Like braceface said you are going to be a walking advertisement of his work, he wants you to be happy with it. Hope everything works out. :)

Re: I have my uppers braced but wondering if I made a mistak

Hi GodAwfulMouth, If I were you I would go ahead and get the bottom row braced as well. Is there not a way you can get the bottom done without them extracting teeth? At the end of the day, you are paying all that money for your teeth, you need to be happy with them. The more your upper teeth become ...

Excited:My upper and lower teeth are almost touching!

Hi you guys! I haven't posted in the board since I first got my braces . In February 2011, I began treatment for the correction of my open bite caused by thumbsucking and had to have an orthodontic appliance placed at the roof of my mouth. This habit appliance has probably been the most frustrating ...

Re: Crib, not made for sleeping.

Hi, thanks for the response. The cribs looks a little worse than that, it actually hangs down far enough where you can see it through my open bite. I agree it is very evil, I think ask for them to remove it a little early. Its becoming hassle with school and work...but we'll see!

Congratulations! Until joining this board, I thought I was the only weird one that hadn't experienced any excruciating pain yet with my braces...but I don't want to jynx myself hahah I've only had them on for a little over two weeks. Congrats again!

Re: Newbie, getting braces on the 17th!

Congratulations! I think taking a weekend off is just what you need to get used to all of the new equipment in your mouth. Maybe go shopping and talk to random people? I think that also helps to get comfortable with your braces.

Re: 3 hours in!

Congratulations Rae! I have had my braces (top and bottom) on for a little over 2 weeks. The first time I closed my mouth with the brackets and I experienced the "scratchy" feeling that you are feeling now. It goes away after a few days, believe me you will get use to them in no time. It's...

Re: Crib, not made for sleeping.

Thank you Printemps, I don't think I am able to post pictures quite yet since I'm new but the habit appliance is somewhat like the expander. There are like three curved prongs hanging down from the expander. Since I have an open bite it is very visible to others, you would not believe how many peopl...

Crib, not made for sleeping.

Hi you guys! I just got my braces to fix my anterior open bite. I have been a thumb-sucker since I was born and I am now paying for it. My braces were completed last Tuesday with ceramic on top and metal on the bottom, along with a habit appliance called a crib. The braces part has been going pretty...
