Re: Consdering moving to Cali to see Arnett & Gunson
I am having surgery with Dr. Gunson in August. I know Dr. Arnett has been around longer than Gunson but Arnett is less available due to teaching etc. BUT both doctors will be at the surgery and they both do measurements and work together on the plan...so it really doesn't matter who you get because ...

August Buddies
Hi Metal Mouth Friends, I am having double jaw surgery with Drs. Arnett and Gunson on August 21st. I know it is still a few months out but I was wondering if anyone else is scheduled in August and if anyone else is going with Arnett and Gunson? Oddly enough I live in Santa Barbara so I am very lucky...

Re: Gunson Anthem Ins??
I don't know if the allowable is the same or not. During my consult Natasha told me that my EPO wouldn't cover anything b/c they are not EPO doctors. But I told her I talked to my ins and they said if there are no drs in your area that are covered under the ins (closet one is in LA) then the dr can ...

Re: Gunson Anthem Ins??
I finally received my Anthem allowable. They are willing to pay $645 of the surgery with Dr. Gunson after my deductible is met. This is a joke. Has anyone had any experience with appealing an allowable amount? I should probably start this as thread... OMG!!!! Do you have an EPO or PPO? I have Anthe...

Re: Orthognathic surgery cosmetic
Thanks for the support guys! She is not part of my treatment plan, financially or recovery (although I should hit her up for some funds). But her opinion matters b/c shes my older sister and is just looking out for me. Her point was that I wont die if I don't get the surgery. I know its my decision ...

I do need the surgery for sleep apnea and my joints. How do u guys respond...

Re: Gunson Anthem Ins??
Just got back from the consult. WOW  that was a lot more intense than I was expecting. Dr. Gunson was amazing though. So I need upper and lower jaw surgery. My airway is very small and my joints are pretty messed up. I asked him how severe my case was and he said for him its moderate but for ...

Re: Gunson Anthem Ins??
Thanks for the advice guys. My appointment is this Friday, I am very excited and nervous to hear what they have to say. And yeah I am aware of the $550 consult fee (hence why I have waited over a year to consult). Does anyone have any suggestions about questions I should ask during the insurance por...
