Re: Inman aligners

I'm now on 20 weeks with the top aligner and my teeth are unbelievably straighter. However I still hate my pointy teeth so I hope the dentist can do something to make them look better.

Re: Inman aligners

I had my IA fitted yesterday! It feels very bulky over the front of my top teeth and my speech is awful but hopefully it will only be for a few months. How has everyone found their speech? My lisp is quite severe! I'm 15 weeks with the top one and I still take it out to talk to everyone except my h...

Re: Inman aligners

hi. this may seem like a stupid question, but sure lol. my "canine teeth" are quite pointy and thin and i was wondering if te inman would make them less pointy and better shaped and more slender/wide , if that makes sense. Mine are still very pointy and I'm almost finished treatment. The ...

I have a question for those of you that have the clear retainers.
How visible are they when you wear them?

Hardly noticeable at all. I have to take mine out to show people I'm wearing it.

Re: Inman aligners

So much for only wearing my IA at night until I get my clear one on 16th. Popped it in last night before bed and realised that my now relatively straight tooth wasn't so straight anymore. I've had to wear my IA again all day today and won't be removing it until 6:30am tomorrow. I've decided to wear...

Re: Inman aligners

I had a composite blob pop off a couple of times. I just went back to the dentist and he put another one on. I only live about 2 minutes from the dentist so it's easy for me.

Re: Inman aligners

Thanks Hatemyteeth, How long left before you are all done then? and how long has been the whole treatment altogether? Cheers I'd say I'll be finished in 7 or 8 weeks. I've had the upper one 10 weeks now although it should be 15 but I lost the back bit after two weeks so it had to go back to the lab...

Re: Inman aligners

Hi Crooked, I wore both aligners together for a while even though I was advised not to initially. I started with the bottom one and got the upper one when I had about 7 weeks left with the lower. The upper is definitely worse to wear but I had no problem wearing both together seeing as I have to tak...

Re: Inman aligners

Thank you both for replying. :) Hatemyteeth, this is going to sound like a really silly question, but does the expander actually push the teeth further forward to create room? If so I'm afraid it may make my teeth look even worse as they are already too far forward as it is and I would like them to...

Re: Inman aligners

Smileshy, I have (had) severe overcrowding in my top teeth and there's a built in palate expander in the device which I had to turn every week for a while. There's been minimal shaving of those teeth so far and I can now see teeny tiny gaps between my teeth :D I can't help with the other questions b...

Re: Inman aligners

I finally got my lower retainer today :D :D

It's a lot flimsier than I imagined. Does anyone use retainer brite to clean it?
8 weeks with the upper one now and they're moving much faster than I expected.

Re: Inman aligners

I have an expander built in that fits to the top of my mouth and I have to adjust this every week - do you have to do that? It doesn't hurt at all. Does yours look like the inman aligners online? I'd definitely mention it to the dentist as it sounds horribly uncomfortable.

Re: Inman aligners

Inman Aligner is printed on the metal bit inside the plastic facing towards the inside of the mouth (that's where it is on mine anyway). I'm sure yours is real if your dentist offers it. I've never had sores on the roof of my mouth but everyone has a different shaped mouth. If you're concerned you s...

Re: Inman aligners

I forgot to mention how I clean them. I brush them every evening with a battery powered toothbrush and rinse them for ages. And once a week or so I use Retainer Brite. For a while there they were very smelly but they've been ok since I got a new toothbrush. Smileyrhi, yours seems very cheap. Is it a...
