This is great to read for me too! I'm getting a full set upper/lower on Friday, feeling nervous... some ppl experience so much pain, & this worried me... not so much the "pain" part of it but I teach, and always need to present my best face in front of the class... it seems everyone is...

Bad news.... I thought I was going to get the whole shebang today, but when I went in they 1. took out the four rubber spacers 2. fitted bands around all my back molars (UGH what an ordeal.... the stuff tasted horrible!! and hatehatehate the feeling of metal on my teeth... waaayyyy worse than finger...

Your girls are lucky to get such yummy things made for them^^ I flossed every single night before starting all this so I was sort of hoping I could get a break, haha-- apparently I still need to floss though so good thing I've already trained myself to do it... I can imagine how some guys w/ huge ha...

Welcome!! I'm at about the same schedule as you... getting those bands around the back molars tomorrow *eek* then the full set of braces next week too!! Except in my case I;ve been thinking about doing this for decades^^ Let's hope all goes well for us all!

It's Monday night over here in Korea, & feel much better w/ the rubber spacers... had them put in last Friday in the morning... felt fine all day/evening Friday... woke up Saturday to horrible aching, continued Sunday... I was dreading returning to work this morning but it feels so much better.....

I just got the rubber spacers in my molars three days ago... wow, they ache like the dickens!!! Just a general, icky headache centered right between my eyebrows.. ugh-- if I hurt just from the spacers, I'm dreading the braces a lil... am I doomed? I've started adjusting my diet, albeit it a bit earl...

@.@ oh my... i just have the spacers in & am scared to eat regular food... I'm guessing lots of soup & smoothies?

I'm in the same situation as you-- have wanted to get mine for decades, too. Your teeth actually look quite nice w/o them^^ How are you dealing w/ eating & preparing meals? Was it a huge adjustment?
