Do you have to get them all out? Or are only some impacted?

Wow! Glad I don't live in Auckland, I thought it was expensive here!! I think they wait for them to come through before they pull them, one of mine is impacted but the ortho doesn't seem to be worried about it at the moment

I live in Dunedin. I rung up and got an estimate the other day from a private dentist of $180 for non-surgical and $350 for surgical. Is there a dental school in Auckland??

So I went to the ortho today and I got stonger rubber bands. She put them on differently to last time and now i am confused about how I am supposed to wear them! I'm pretty sure its really bad to double rubber bands, you should let your ortho know that you are having trouble chewing and see what he says

Just read on a topic about these plaque staining pills, has anyone tried them? I have ceramic uppers would it stain them?? It sounds quite interesting to try them. Is it alright to use them with braces?

Soft food is best at the start because your mouth will probably be sore from the pressure the braces will put on your teeth, it will be sore to bite and chew for awhile so soft food is easier and i think the reason for no gum is because it will stick to wires and stuff, i know people who chew gum bu...

If you're going through the treatment for the bottom braces you might as well get the top done while you're at it. I wouldn't worry about your teeth getting worse before they get better, you have braces on so its obvious you are fixing your teeth so people won't care what your teeth look like.

My ortho is going to do another xray later on to see whats happening with my wisdom teeth, i know i will need atleast one out as it is growing sideways towards my other teeth.
