Re: Tomorrow is the big day

Your teeth look beautiful!

Can I ask you, did they make impressions for your retainers while you had your braces still on? I thought they'd have to remove them first.

Re: Question about the use of TADs

I just had a TAD put in last week. It's above and between my right 2nd bicuspid and molar. It's attached to a power chain and to my right canine which it's supposed to pull back to make room for my right 2nd incisor to come forward. I'm a little worried because when my ortho put the TAD in he mentio...

Your top arch is coming along nicely! Love the white archwires. I wish those were an option for me.
You're gonna be done in no time!

Re: Snooki's Story!

Oh wow, what great progress! My teeth are far more crooked than from what you started from but progress pics like these give me hope and affirm my choice to get braces. Did your orthodontist give you an estimation of when they'd come off? What was his original estimation at the time of your consulta...

Re: "Welcome to the First World..."

Went to the dentist during lunch today a week earlier than planned and have nothing but good news to report :) Dentist said I was taking great care of my teeth which was a relief. I admitted to him and my hygienist that the past month and half or so my flossing has been reduced to 2-3x a week. When ...

Re: "Welcome to the First World..."

Hey Everyone! I had my 3rd adjustment on Saturday. I was in and out of the office in less than 15 minutes. I still didn't get a spring over my right lateral incisor like I hoped, boo. Ortho says there's still a slight curve in the archwire over my canine and he wants it to line up with the rest of m...

Re: Ortho: male or female?

I have a male ortho and dentist. Growing up I had a male dentist and noticed that all the dentists and ortho at that practice were male, while the assistants were all female. It also seemed like all my friends went to male dentists/orthos as well. The current practice that I go to has a pretty good ...

Re: Which electric toothbrush do you use/like?

I use the Sonicare Flexcare 2x a day and I'm very happy with it. I use a manual brush during the day at work and when I'm out and about. My orthodontist has praised me for taking great care of my teeth at every adjustment.

"Welcome to the First World..."

is what my dad told me the day my braces made their debut. I was born in the Philippines and moved to the States when I was 4. Although my dad's been a naturalized citizen for 20 years he says he's never felt more American than the day he saw me and my sister in braces on the path to getting "A...

Re: Hello There

Hi everyone! I'm approaching my 3rd month in braces on the 19th and just had my 2nd adjustment yesterday. I've had no major changes since getting braces but my left wayward canine that used to flare out now points down, yay! I can't wait until it aligns properly. I wish I could show you before and c...

Re: New to the club-almost

Congrats! That's too bad about the single bracket coming off but that's just part of the whole braces journey. I bet all of us who are newly braced will have plenty of that in our future. Good news about the self-ligating brackets! I wish I had those. I'm always so worried about my food staining my ...

Re: Hello There

Thanks Jensniffer! I see you're getting clear braces on top AND bottom. I'm totally jealous :) I just have clear on top and people keep telling me they can't tell I have them on until they're up really close or I smile really big and expose my bottom metal braces. 2 of my coworkers and my friend hav...
