My second molars were not banded until 10 months into treatment. I am now about 17 mo into treatment and the second molars are aligned with the rest of my teeth. You may want to ask you ortho if he intends to band them in the future.

I have had success with baking soda. I just wet the little brush and dip it in baking soda. Also I had my teeth cleaned last week and she got rid of any staining that was there.

Well I am still in braces but it does indeed seem unusual that he would not even look at your teeth. I would think he would want to make sure that they are not moving and still in alignment.

I had a panoramic done about 5 months in. After about a year my periodontist did bite wings which he sent to the ortho and apparently the roots look good.
